Co-op Bank has opened an Executive Banking Centre at Dr. Riria Plaza in Nakuru to offer premium services.

Co-op Bank’s headcount grew by 741 employees to 6,591, alongside its physical branch network expanding by 11 to 223 branches nationally, part of a broader group footprint of 222 branches across Kenya and South Sudan, supported by 620 ATMs and cash deposit machines, and 16,793 Co-op Kwa Jirani agents .
The half-year numbers explain the expansion. Co-op Bank posted a 28% jump in net profit to Sh18 billion for the six months to June 2026, up from Sh14.1 billion a year earlier — its best-ever half-year performance
Profit before tax grew 17.3% to Sh23.1 billion, with Return on Average Equity at 22% and Return on Average Assets improving to 4.3%
Total assets rose 7.1% to Sh869.5 billion, deposits grew 11.2% to Sh623.2 billion, and net loans climbed 18.1% to Sh462.2 billion
Asset quality also improved, with the NPL ratio falling to 13.9% fro
